Week 1 Term 2 2021

...Welcome to Term 2! I hope you all had a lovely holidays relaxing and everyone is feeling refreshed and ready to go. Apart from a few days in Perth, my children and I have had a wonderful two weeks enjoying holiday life at home.  However, school and my amazing class of kids have been missed I am looking forward to a jam-packed 11 week Term 2 with your children. We are very lucky to have two wonderful team members to the 1K class- Avalon and Emily!  I'm looking forward to meeting them tomorrow as are the rest of the kids.   Well done to Liam for our second Star Citizen for our class at our last assembly for Term 1.  Liam consistently shows compassion for others, welcoming others and noticing those in need.  Congratulations Liam!    Homework - Spelling📚 Spelling lists in your child's homework book will look a little bit different this term. Welcome to 1K 2021!

  Hello and welcome to the 1K blog!  We hope you have all had a relaxing and peaceful holiday and enjoyed some of this beautiful summer weather!  We am looking forward to getting to know your beautiful children and working with you throughout your child's learning journey this year. Year One is a favourite year to teach for both of us - we've both taught it for at least five years each and are very excited to be back for another year in the land of Year One.  It is a big, but exciting year where your child will, discover, grow, create, learn, reflect and experience an abundance of fun and interesting things in our class!   This year your child is lucky to have two class teachers!  Mrs Penny King will be teaching Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and Mrs Gemma Sorgiovanni will be teaching on Thursdays.  You are able to contact either of us anytime throughout the week via email and we communicate daily with each other.    As a parent of a Year One student, it is extremely imp

Good afternoon parents,  Only one more sleep until our excursion ...the children are very excited! Please see below some information for the day.... The weather is set for 23 degrees tomorrow and cloudy. This could mean it might be a little cold, so please dress accordingly.  Please ensure your child wears their sports uniform(teal or coloured)  WITH EVERY ITEM LABELLED  as well as:   School Hat.   Rashie which must be worn under uniform.   Small backpack or beach bag.   TOWEL and JUMPER (both labelled)  Morning tea. (Lunch if own preferred).   FILLED Water bottle.   Covered Shoes. NO THONGS   Personal items should be clearly labelled with your child’s name. Overview of the day: Children leave the school at 9.30 to be greeted by the Cape to Cape tour guides at 10.00am  Below is the time table to the day...
